Anyone ever seen a hood with scoops like is on these two jacked up sas toyotas? Very interested in one for my cruiser

I think in order to do that on a 100 you would need to get a aftermarket hood scoop. Look up WildSmith's rig, he added one for cooling. No hoods like that available for the 100's.

damn alright well thanks. Ive seen a few scoops that can be installed but I really wish there was an aftermarket hood with one integrated

I'm sure a shop could make one out of fiberglass and install a electric fan for cooling. That would be unique, if done right it would look OEM. I'm not much for hood scoops but if it's done right and looks OEM, more power to ya

yeah that would be exactly what I'm looking for. Do you know of any shop around Roswell Georgia that could do such a thing?

Search around. Several good fiberglass shops, I can't recommend one since I haven't used any of them, nor do I need to. I don't want to send you to a shop that will botch the job. And your replacing a hood. I googled "automotive fiberglass shops in Atlanta" and a few came up. Get some quotes and discuss what you want to achieve ( looks or function, or both). Then see what they draw up.

Why do you want a fake hood scoop? My 4R has one but it will just look tacky on the hundy. Like ricey tacky.

All I'm locked on to in that photo is the SFA's and coil over's....

because his current hood has two holes in it he wants to get rid of.

it actually has 4 holes in it but you're kind of right haha
the idea looked better as a vision and on my buddies Cherokee...I'm
pretty tired of it

Here's the only hundy I've seen with a functional hood scoop.

It's HDJ-105 in Australia with a 1VD-FTV engine swap. The scoop came from a Holden. I contacted the guy because I was looking to go with a top mounted intercooler for my turbo. Turned out to be too cost prohibitive.

I see what you did there.

I should know by now that when I see both you and loud posting in the same thread, not to be drinking any kind of beverage while reading.

Taylor, PM Wildsmith like Nick suggested and ask him what his setup is. At least his is functional so you can probably glean a few ideas from him to pass along to a local shop. It will look good if done correctly, however, if you bolt a retarded looking rice rocket hood scoop to your Hundy, you will not be forgiven. In fact, I will pay Nick to drive up and slap you.

Nick, send me your paypal info. I'll cover the 3% on this, pending the outcome.

I kid. :D

Paul was telling me about that. I'm gonna rip em off and put them back on the bumper anyways. Just need to plug those holes probably using duct tape as a short term solution

Get some plumbing end caps and paint them. It will be better, but still there.
