Wondering if it will bolt up to the transmission. The 100s after 2005 had the same transmission I believe. I know the rear of the 100 is offset, but just taking one thing at a time. My goal would be to figure out if swapping the transfer case and rear axle is possible. Could have the shafts pulled and redrilled to get the wheel bolt pattern to match. Brackets may have to be moved around some. Sounds like a lot of work, but a Diamond 9.5 is also a lot fo coin.

Interesting idea.
It should bolt up. Not sure about front drive shaft flange bolt pattern.
You would lose the torsen center diff. I am sure it's open in my 99 100 series.
Low range is 2.48 vs 2.57

I thought about swapping elocked 100 series rear axle. They are wider axle. I would use the OEM 5 lug wheels since they have high positive offset. Add wheel adapter up front and the track would almost match. Being they are already 4.30 gear it would be the cheapest axle upgrade for me.

You and I are on the same page again... Width difference looks to be about 5.5". I had not thought about using the stock 100 wheels. Figured that using 1.25" spacers in the front would get you close enough. I assume the case would physically bolt up so long as there are no inpot shaft differences. Wouldnt know that until you looked at one. I thought the 100 had a CDL, am I mistaken? My buddy has it in his. He had to drive home from Arkansas with it on after blowing a front diff.

100 series transfer case got CDL but it's open differential. GX transfer case got torsen center diff.

6x5.5 to 5x150 adapter are widely available. Normally it's about 2" thick. That equal to +10 offset if used with OEM LC +60

5.5 wider with +60 would be equal to OEM GX470 axle with 1/4" spacer or equal to GX with +19 offset.

Ideal wheel offset for 33-35" tire would be 0 to - 12 mm. So ideally a 5x150 wheel with +40 would bring everything to 0 offset. I cannot find any 5x150 with +30 to +40 offset.

Custom spacer are not that expensive so front would need 60 mm thick adapter and rear need 19-20 mm spacer to bring to same track width like stock with 0 offset.

I’ll be honest. I know what you are saying, but this simpleton is going to have to read that a few times for the numbers to make sense to me.

Gotcha on the cdl. Didn’t understand the difference.

If I were to give this a shot I would probably just try if with the rear diff first and see if any driveline vibrations pop up. There are a few folks that have done it with centered transfer cases in 3rd gens.

If they did, the case would be next. I would probably splurge for the reduced gearing in the case before I put it in.

@danthemanx07 did you have any measurements of 100 series rear axle? Want to know If the spring seat and trailing arm would even bolt up to GX.
