I think I was reading somewhere that someone just had the drag link bent to fit. Anybody do this? Hopefully I'll be SOA in the near future.

IMO don't do the bent drag link thing. I monkeyed with bootyfab steering on my FJ40 (I was stupid then) for about 6 mo.'s before finally sucking it up and buying the Aqualu arm. If nothing else, look into the homemade version (of the Aqualu arm) but make sure whoever is welding it has a good understanding of metalurgy (sp?).

I personally witnessed a bent drag link fold up like a piece of tin foil on a trail a few years back!

Dont do it!

I've bent .250 wall drag links myself....adding a bend just gives it an easier point to start bending at.

IMO, the price of the SOA should automatedly include a histeer setup....I ran the AllPro arms for a while with no complaints, but now run the 4x4Labs stuff and like that even more. Not cheap, but done right...and a SOA done correctly shouldn't be shortcutted.
