Anybody in Chandler check this out for me?

If you can get a hold of the guy and some info, I can go look.

First dibs on the axles.

Sounds like a "wild kingdom" show...

....If you look across the savanah, the carcass is now being circled by the many wide eyed predators waiting to steal a piece off of it....

:D

Put me in line for the axles as well and the TC. :p

I went to go look at the truck today and mysteriously it had an unlocked front and unlocked semi-float rear, almost seems like the were out of a 91-92. Oh and it looks like it may need a birf on the right side.

Now the good news...check out my new thread on my axle upgrade from a semi float to full floater! :flipoff2:

OK here we go...

Production Date: 9/94
236274 miles on odo
No lockers
Grey cloth interior
3 row seats

"sister was driving it home one day when it overheated, by the time she got some it was blowing white smoke"

It's been sitting for some time in their backyard. Guys friend at work took the top end apart to fix it then got laid off and never finished. Parts are "all" in the back. I didn't go piece by piece, bolt by bolt to see if it was all there but it seemed so.

No battery = no electrical check. Even so with the state of the under hood kingdom I probably wouldn't have juiced it up anyway.
  • Paint is shot...way faded, many scratches.
  • Body is straight except for a small dent on the top of the LR door near the glass. Looks like the truck had been tapped a little on the rear but no real damage. Other than that I could not see any signs of an accident (crap...forgot to get VIN # for you)
  • Interior is in overall decent shape. Dash has multiple cracks but I did not see any rips in the seats or door panels. (3rd row was under a bunch of crap so I could not get a good look) Headliner and carpet have some stains.
  • Worn afternarket tint on windows.
  • Wood grain package is worn, faded, and cracked.
  • Missing LR door window sweep.
  • Some tires worn, some ok. Stock Michelin LTX's
  • Radiator looked OK
  • Birf's are leaky, owner said last birf job was at 150k miles...that's worse than me :whoops:
  • Bottom end of engine coated in oil / gunk, couldn't tell wear from since top end is apart.
  • Exhaust looks good for age.
  • No diff leaks
  • Suspension looked ok
  • Tie Rods, etc look good.
  • No real puddle under truck except small one near rear of engine. I can't tell without totally crawling under if it came from rear seal, pan, or them messing around with the top end.
My .02...If you're looking for a trail truck and not really concerned about how it looks and all it needs is a head gasket and some axle love...$2200 may be a bit much. If you can get it for $1800 - $2000?

Here are some pics I took until camera batteries went. (Thought :princess: put new ones in)

Is it green?

So the head wasn't removed, just the valve cover and camshafts (and all the other fun stuff)?
