I have a magnetic gray 2015 with black leather and love the color combo! I had a magnetic gray limited sequoia before this. Black and white are the two most common colors. If I'm not mistaken neither are clear coated. The black is going to be different on the 2016 though, it will be a metallic color with blue flake in it. Was called attitude black in 2015 but the name is changing for 2016. The color code is still the same.
For the 2016 LC, is the Blizzard Pearl and Blue Onyx clear coated or single stage paint? I assume they are not metallic. Also is the Brandywine Mica metallic or clear coated?
My last few trucks/cars have been dark blue or black and they show dirt and scratches too easily. Silver would be good but being metallic, may be hard to match.

Blizzard Pearl is metallic.
I purchased mine as a CPO lease return. When I first went to look at it, both the front and rear bumpers had some scuffs and a small dent. The salesman told me they would repaint both bumpers before sale. When I picked it up, they had repainted both bumpers and they look perfect. No problems at all with the match.
I hear you on the gold. I used to hate it but it has really grown on me. I don't like gold on the 100s because they mixed it with gray bumpers, trim etc.. but on the 200 its different. With black wheels, bumpers and tint looks great. After all, its the modern version of the classic Dune Beige!

I always prefer black interior, for the reasons mentioned above. Only time I deviate from black interior is when there are interesting leather options like in my old King Ranch pickup or "Havana" colored exclusive leather in an Audi. Exterior color is more subject, I like black, satin black, black pearl, Phantom black, Orca black, Tuxedo black... You get the point haha
I had a black car once. Never again. Way too hard to keep clean and every little nick and scratch shows the light colored primer underneath.
I always cover the full front clip (A-pillars forward) in paint protection film, as well as the full rear bumper. Over the course of a few years I don't get any stone chips on the front or any issues on the back... I clean it every second or third week. The majority of the time it looks great. It's more work than other colors certainly but for me it's exactly what I want
I have Silver with black interior and love the fact that it looks clean even when it isn't. My only regret is that now 3 of my 4 vehicles are silver! The other is mostly rust! (rat-rod).
The big issue for me was always door dings.
True. Especially in the city. People are reckless with slamming their doors open. I try to give myself plenty of space but there's not much that can be done to combat that --very frustrating. I'll report back after a few more months/decades of use haha
Here in the Boston area, you often can't leave yourself plenty of space. Even when I'm perfectly centered in my space, there just isn't much room between vehicles in most parking lots and garages.
Slee sliders are the cure for door dings, unless cowboy roy in his big truck parks next to you.
Do they stick out farther than the stock running boards?
