I know it's a subjective and personal thing but I remember reading some of you regret buying black trucks. Wandering why that is? Hard to keep clean? I am leaning toward black or dark gray. Black just looks sharp on a big truck with crome, but I dont wash my cars often. I had a dark blue car before and it wasn't too bad, but lately gravitate toward monochromatic colors. For interior I guess black or dark brown would be the most practical long term

Mine is red, but no regrets. I found it used so I didnt really have that much choice.

If I did, at the time, I would have got silver, because its like berber carpeting. When it's clean it looks dirty, and when it's dirty it looks clean.

The red has grown on me, and if I get a new LC, it will be another red one.

A lot of it like you said is just what you prefer... Now if your gonna take it wheelin and care about scratches, I would go with white, because I can tell ya the dark grey and black will show every scratch;)))

My only regret is that Amazon Green isn't prevalent. I'm still very happy with second choice of Magnetic Grey Metallic. I've owned too many black vehicles and think silver is probably the easiest to keep looking clean between washes, but I'm content with the grey as I like it better than silver. My preference is always black interior though. Just wish Toyota offered a black headliner to go with it...

whatever colour you pick you'll probably wish you had gone different. The darker the colour the more difficult it will be to maintain. That's just a fact you have to get over. When my 300 upgrade arrives it might be silver but don't expect to be wheelin or overlanding it. Will keep my 200 for play time until they no longer pump liquid fuels ... or my own liquid stops pumping.

My LX was black, and that was the reason I sold it, just as soon as I found a Super White LC with under 20k miles. I looked for a White LC for over a year in the like new condition I was after, finally gave up and switch my searches to include black, which is my other preferred color, but every time I buy a black vehicle , about a month later I am wondering what the heck was I thinking. They look dirty most of the time and just look at it funny and it scratches.

But one thing I have learned after owning 4 different 200s, is that Toyota paint sure seems kind of thin compared to other brands I have owned. My last 2 Tahoe's were also Black, but didn't seem to scratch as easy as that LX did. Even the Whites chip easier then my Tahoe's or RAM trucks.

I have also noticed, and this is just an observation from many miles spent on the road over the years, that certain colors really blend in with the road, like sort of road camouflage , grey, silver, and gold, all 3 can and do tend to blend in with the different road materials used around the country. Black can but that is typically only on blacktop roads where the blacktop is really fresh, only few months old it becomes grey and fades to almost silver over many years. Basically I have noticed that every time I have almost pulled out in front of someone that I flat out did not see coming , they were in a gold/silver/grey colored vehicle.
White on the other hand and I mean more of the pure whites, that is the same color they use to stripe the roads which stands to reason since white offer the best contrast with all the different road materials.
So I would argue that white is likely also a little safer color, at least in the eyes of the other motorist on the roadways .

So in addition to white showing less scratches, less dirt, etc. Pure gloss white is an easy or at least an easier color to match should something happen and need repaired. I would say that also applies to gloss black, which is one other reason I like a pure gloss black over a dark grey, because 99% of all dark greys are metallic colors, which are virtually imposable to ever match metallic colors should you need a paint repair.

That all said I love how silver looks , I really like how grey looks a lot too.
Since Super white is no longer an option here in the US market 13+, I will likely buy a silver 16-17 model LC at some point.
I think Silver offers the cleanest look even when dirty, and shows least scratches.
So if I am looking at the most practical alternative to Super White, that Toyota currently offers here in the US, I am thinking silver is the closest thing to it. Just glad it has those LED DRLs now, I will be running them on a silver vehicle.

There is my 2 cents anyway.

:flipoff2:

I have no regrets on my color combo!

I am paranoid about blending in on cloudy days and at dusk with my grayness so I often turn on my lights before the auto switch kicks them on...

Be the first 200 on mud with gold! Sometimes I wish I got gold. Gold and black looks great.

go with a light color.

darks show everything ding, swirl and plus, in hot climates, they eventually bake the clear-coat off.

just from experience.

As for the interior, I really prefer a black leather. Shows less die transfer from clothing IE. Blue jeans, I am always cleaning the tan leather on my LCs, never mess with black leather in my pickups.

I will say if your looking at the 13-15 models, I think the fake wood trim on the Tan interior looks more realistic then the fake dark wood trim on the black interiors. I really wish they used the lighter fake wood on both interior colors.

This is my first black vehicle and I don't regret it one bit. I always had grey/silver or white and swore I'd never buy black because I'm way to anal with cleaning my car. After the first year I stopped giving a s*** and washed it whenever I have the time and have come to love having a black truck. Each scratch or dent is character and a memory good or bad, it's a vehicle nothing more. I'd definitely buy black again.

I have a silver 200 and I dont regret my decision at all. Weather is very hot and dusty most of the time here, doesn't show dust and not as common as white on the roads and It looks good on the LC.

I like white and silver. But the bottom line- nothing is more hard to keep clean than black. And...nothing looks quite as amazing as black when clean. It's a love hate thing that keeps it interesting.

Having owned a white 200 -I always wanted to get a darker coloured one -white was just ... bland. However, since I wheeled her good and proper, it was great to see the pin stripes just blend in and actual scratches just disappear after a good wash. But I always wanted a dark colour.

Mud does look good on white!!

Now that I own a black one -I love the curves and the reflection of it. It stands out!! Of course I do realize what scratching it shall do to it -and perhaps how hard it is to keep it clean -but the coolness factor far outweighs that. Plus I think I shall wear her scratches with some pride -just buff her out if I ever need to sell her down the road ....

Best of both worlds -a grey/silver one ...... -may be next time .....

White is impossible to keep clean. I am not a person who wants to wash their car every couple days, but if you dont a white car shows the tiniest bit of dust/dirt.

Seeing fingerprints on the tailgate is depressing
