If you are in the Northwest Arkansas area we have some great trails, we even had the International Mountain Bike summit here last fall.

does your shop sell them? whats so different about them? do the small blocks not grip enough in your opinion?

I still run a 2.35? IKON on the back of my hard tail, usually, with a 2.4 Ardent up front. But yeah, not enough grip in my opinion in almost every condition. I always thought that set up was just fine except in the fall, then someone had me try the Minions. Those Minions........ they just hook up much better than any tire set I've ever used. I'm putting the same set up on the hard tail when it's time to put new tires on.

Gracias hombre I shall invest in new tires this spring. Most of the trail Nazis around here will attack you for riding on any trail less than dry. These have hooked up decently well but again I could probably run slicks and say the same.

Coldwater? I am hearing nothing but rave reviews on that trail system. Bunch of my buddies have been up there to ride and race. I haven't made it up that way yet. However we have some work at the Anniston Army Depot and I am trying to figure out a way to get in on the work and bring my MTB with me :)

I had planned to attend the Fat Tire Festival there last year, but it was on my anniversary weekend. I rented the nicest B&B in Anniston and the woman agreed to go, but I just couldn't do it to her. She doesn't ride and what would she have done all weekend??

Let me know when you're in the area and I'll see if I can come down and explore with you. I am coaching the HS MTB team this year and most weekends thru May are obligated for races, but not all. Let me know!
