Looks like BIO's back in the game! I had a couple of their bumpers on my 80 and the fit and finish as well as fitment and durability was top notch. In speaking with them regarding any 1st get Sequoia products, they suggested a temp check here with you guys.

So... any interest in BIO gear for our trucks? I'm in for a couple bumpers if anyone else is.

Here is a little bit of information about Bump It Offroad: Bump It Offroad (BIO) - Coming (Back) Soon - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/bump-it-offroad-bio-coming-back-soon.1351093/

That's awesome! I had BIO bumpers on my 100 and it was nice that they were right up the road from me in CO. Mike does an outstanding job and would consider doing a rear bumper and skid plates for my 07.

Fantastic.
We will have to dig in a little deeper on the 1st gen Sequoia platform.

From what I've seen, the front part of the frames of the '01-'07 Sequoias are the same as the '00-'06 Tundras. Tundra and Sequoia grills will be different, and there's a change in grill style in both starting in '05. I don't believe there's a change in the rear bumper at all, other than the obvious difference between the Tundra and the Sequoia.

Once my SAS is done in the late spring or so, I can donate my truck as a template if you've decided to enter the market and if nobody else has stepped up by then.

Thank you! We appreciate the offer.

To clarify this, are you thinking the '01-'07 Sequoias could share front and rear bumpers w/ '00-'07 Tundras?
Different grills, but same fit?
I think that is where you are going, but I was not sure about the rear bumper comment?

Yes, in regards to frame dimensions and mounting locations, I believe the same front bumper would fit all years of the first gen Sequoias and Tundras.

My comment about the rear bumper meant that I don't think Sequoias changed their rear bumpers throughout the production run, and that the sheet metal back there is the same across all years of the first gen. So, the same rear bumper should fit all years of the first gen Sequoia. Same goes for the rear of the Tundras, however, the rear frames and sheet metal of the Sequoia and Tundra are different and a bumper that fits the rear of the Sequoia would not fit a Tundra.

Apologies for the confusion.

Thank you! That is helpful information.

Just throwing this out there, the 2nd gen Sequoia has very little aftermarket support and is an amazing vehicle. The body was essentially unchanged from 2008 through 2022 except for the headlights and lower filler panels. It's a beast and there are a few examples out there that have been long traveled and are sweet. No rear bumpers are available that I know of, perhaps it would be an untapped market.

Also, I can't find a tube bumper for my 2015 Tundra, that style was super popular ten years ago but now the market is full of plate bumpers. There is the SS Built Baja bumper, but that is it, and it is not quite a normal tube bumper.

Thank you for this.
Am I correct that the 2nd gen Sequoias are a bit different than the 1st gens?

I think a very, very safe assumption would be that no, there is no cross compatibility between first and second gens.

2nd gen rear is made by Tandem offroad.

If Bump it makes a nicer, more affordable 2nd gen Sequoia rear, I may be interested. The industry definitely needs more support and competition.
