So, I went to pull my license plate assemblies to replace the bulbs and noticed how much rust was in them, the nummy crusty kind. I began to scrape it out and ended up just poking holes out the size of dimes. Is there anyone out there who sells the assemblies or does anyone have a rust-free set lying around?? I searched man-a-fre, ebay, marks, any place I could think of. Is my hope of staying stock (or repro stock) on this part just foolish? I'm desperate, as the rain is coming in Oregon! Any for sales, links to ones that would work would be greatly appreciated!

most of the ones I've got are in that shape. I don't recall ever seeing any nice ones.

Oregon cruzer - I have a set that have been kept out of the elements for the past 20 yrs or so - pretty certain they're stellar - Drop me a PM for details/ visuals etc...... thanks.

pm sent

Go to your local pick-n-pull. Look for the old Toyota Corollas and coronas, they used the same lights.

This is what I have left (after the best ones went on my piggy :) ). None have holes but the chrome is NOT perfect on them either (some are better than others). I also have the rubber base gasket for both the right and left sides in good shape (not crumbling rubber). No good bulb holders though.

The lenses are just siliconed in. Two of the lenses are loose.

I'm looking for GOOD door mirrors, both drivers and passenger sides WITHOUT cracks in the bases or dents in the mirror back as a trade or part trade if possible.

Thanks, CruiserGuy, but I have no good anything piggy to trade! :frown:

I managed to get good chrome and bulb holders, but I would still be interested in rubber bases.

You can rebuild the bulb assemblies from auto part store stuff, something to keep in mind. I did that for the taillights in my old Jeepster...

Sorry, but Lou "n2666s" already has a check on the way for those and a few other things.
