After receiving two duds (Koyo A1918) from Amazon, I'm looking at other radiator alternatives for my '97 LX450. Anyone have any experience with the Denso radiator P/N 221-3128? This is a copper/brass radiator with plastic tanks.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone?

By that part number it says it doesn't fit?
Denso's site says they don't make one for our vehicles.

After doing some research on radiators, the only difference between '93-'95 and '96-'97 is the construction and they are backwards compatible. The earlier radiators were copper/brass vs aluminum for the later years. I went ahead and ordered one... will advise once I get it.

So what made them duds?

First unit was likely damaged during shipment (gash on the box with corresponding damage on the radiator core). The second unit arrived in a perfect box, but the core was damaged.

(both pics are of the 2nd Koyo).

Flow- yes, it's a copper/brass unit with plastic tanks. Looked like a very nice unit but that got damaged in transit by UPS so it went back as well.

First off, UPS sucks and everything I order that's shipped thru them has a destroyed box or container.
It appears the going rate on that radiator is about $325+. Any specific reason for not going OEM at that price point?

I caved and ended up buying an OEM locally. I paid more, but it totally eliminated UPS from the picture. After 3-radiators, I was DONE.

Here's a shot of the first Koyo that got crushed on the side.

UPS and radiators do not mix.

Can't go wrong with OEM:
