I'm sending my 92 LC to Land Crisper Heaven for restoration work, mostly mechanical and interior. Anyone have experience with them?

I bought my Dobinson lift from them. Some stuff was backordered but they always helped when I called. I'm about 35 minutes from their shop and picked the kit up in person. Tons of cruisers of every flavor there. The owner Frank helped load up everything. We went through my order and realized I had forgotten to get a steering damper so in that went. This was also at about 5:20 on a Friday afternoon when they closed at 5. They were closed but as I wandered through the parking lot looking at all the cool stuff some people in the shop noticed me and Frank came out to help. Now as far as service on a vehicle I can't speak to that but the amount I've seen going through there seems like they know what they're doing. I believe the main restoration facility is down in Columbia (the country not Columbia, MD).

Bottom line - don't do it! We had a project estimated for 7-10 months which took years and ended up way over the initial proposal. The owner is personable enough, but once they get your vehicle - they don't respond! You have to end up making threats to get any type of response and even then it's always excuses and lacking any type of commitment. It seems they spend more time overseas drumming up new business and completely ignore the stateside business they already have. Please be aware of what you are getting into.
