Anyone here heading to the event in Flagstaff?

Oh cool, I didn't know about this. And it looks like this happens in Flagstaff every year?

We're always driving through Flagstaff (in-laws live there, and I used to as well). Most likely can't attend this year, but now that I know about it I will make sure to check it out next year.

Very cool - I lived there too from 2001-2005! It’s generally in Flagstaff for the west version of the expo. It’s a great event!

Nice, we overlapped, but only 1 year. I was there from 2004 - 2008. I assume your 4-year stint there was at NAU, like mine was.

I wish I had been more into overlanding / offroading during that time, considering how much there is to do in the general area (including this expo, apparently). I have the FunTreks Arizona book now, trying to make up for lost time 😆

Overland Expo West is one of the largest expo among all. I would love to go, but being 2500 miles away prevent my present.

I usually attend Overland Expo East hosted in Arrington VA. I volunteer my service hour with overland expo last year. It was fun to hang out with the organizer crews and vendors. Also good to meet up with a few LC 200 owner.

I'll probably go, but I'm not sure I have enough lighting and various completely unused bolt-on attachments to my vehicle to be allowed in.

We have security to check for lumens, and if you don't have enough, we send you packing!

If you are going to be there, I will mount my STEDI Type-X Pro spotties, Bush Co 270XT awning, Waterport 8 Gallon roof tank, Kaon Maxtrax Sidemount, some amazon rocklights and I'll open a HELOC to purchase enough gas to come hang out with the Rivian crew and get hands-on with my next vehicle... Do I at least get a hat?

A sticker if you’re good!

It’s a really fun event. Best to leave the credit card at home. Whatever mods you don’t have and don’t need call to you like the ring of Mordor. You’ll be forced to buy an expo trailer just to get all of it home.

So many of the vendors are there and it is a good chance to talk to them, ask questions, and usually get more detailed info than you can get by phone or email.

And while I joke, you can get some pretty amazing deals on some things. I remember that goal zero and jackery both have pretty good price drops and it’s always a good chance to stock up on recovery and first aid gear.

Plus it’s just awesome to see all the builds. Such an array of vehicles just in the general camping alone. If there is a mass produced vehicle, somebody somewhere has modded it for overlanding and will be there.

We can’t make OE west this year but have unused passes which we will probably use for one of the other options.

I’ll be there with 2009 LC200 I got this year and my trailer. Anyone driving from SF Bay Area?
