Hi everyone. Has anyone installed the Currie anti rock sway bar kit on their 40 with leaf springs and if so, did you notice a difference when crawling? Currently soa, 38.5” tires, 4” shackles on new Dobinsons with sbc 350. Stretched in front, 99” wheelbase. Looking for advantage/disadvantage from actual users of this type system. I have no problem drilling the frame for torsion bar tube. Thanks

Not per se on an FJ, but my friends with Jeep CJ’s, the only advantage is on the road stability/ sway control in the corners. So you can have off road flex with street manors

I put two on my 40 but it’s setup a bit different than yours and I haven’t had the new setup on the road yet.

I spoke to John quite a bit before ordering my kits and he said that it’s not actually designed to prevent on-road sway, though it should help prevent a little sway on the FJ40 since they didn’t come with a sway bar. He mentioned that a TJ would most likely have more tendency to sway with the antirock over the factory sway bar. The Antirock is designed to keep the vehicle as level as possible while going up off-camber obstacles and it was designed to work best with front and rear sway bars installed together.

I have only been able to flex my Cruiser in the garage as it’s not quite on the road yet. It has 14” coilovers (was previously SOA) and the body rolls quite a bit more with the Antirock disconnected. My Cruiser seems to have more body roll with coilovers than it did with Alcan leaf springs so you will most likely have different results.
