The Feb issue of Four Wheeler and the Jan/Feb issue of 4wd ToyotaOwner both install a Dakar lift on a 60. On p.93 of 4 Wheeler and p.52 of ToyotaOwner they both show a pic of the rear anti inversion shackles (one Man-a-Fre and one OME) but they are mounted reversed and up-side-down from one another - I think. Which one is mounted correctly? Does it matter? Longer shackles maybe the first thing non-maintenance thing I buy for my cruiser so it would be nice to know.

Thanks Kurt,, glad ToyotaOwner got it right given their comment on the previous page about "any monkey being able to figure which way the shackle goes..."

ha ha! a friend of mine told me about the 4wheeler article last week. over the weekend he helped install the rear OME shackles. this morning he plops the mag on my desk and says "i think they're on wrong"

"nope, the mag is wrong"

"are you sure" he says

so i search and find this thread... :)
