I live in a very urban area, and a couple weeks ago some aging post-fraternity d***wad on his way between bars broke my antenna.

My point?

Would you guys recommend getting a good aftermarket antenna (if so, what do you like?), or sticking with the OEM electric one? I never use the electric.

That's exactly why I keep the OEM electric antenna and keep it retracted when I'm not listening to the radio (and when I'm parked).

Go Oem electric- and keep it down. Nothing pisses me off more than some dip**** trying to showoff to his friends how he/she can trash someone else ride.

i run XM and keep the factory one down at all times. Dont have to worry about destroying it on the trails either

There is a bunch of after market ones floating around for about 30 bucks.....hold on I will get a link.

Never used one myself but I about about to.:rolleyes:My kids broke mine off.

Double, triple ditto on the cheapy NAPA black. This is all I could find pre, but so far I've been very happy with it. (shameless 60 plug)

I have been looking for a new antenna that is a two in one, CB and radio, I know there out there and if anyone has a lead on one I would sure appreciate it..

Mine has a black flexible one the PO put on it. It's only about a foot long and picks up great. Plus it'll be more compliant off-road.

Like this?

There's talk of using a CB antenna and a splitter in this thread...

Some info from the Firestick website...

Source for splitter
