Teeth go forward, you got the previous plastic out of the old motor right? It's pretty clear teeth go forward if you open the old motor up.

Hey all. I’m new to the site as of this morning but it seems like a good place to jump in. My new to me 05 lx has an antenna that works but was all bent up, so I got an oem replacement and headed to YouTube and found a good video. Everything jives with what you said here. I took off the nut with needle nosed and pulled out a small black gasket. Had the wife turn on the stereo and expected to pull it straight out but it’s not ejecting. What am I missing? Thanks for any insight.

Just replaced the mast on my '04 after a brain fart visit to the car wash. Antennamastsrus.com via Amazon. Had it in 2 days free shipping, used a mini-screwdriver and small hammer to remove the nut. slid the old one out smoothly (unbroken) and slid in the new one with teeth forward. Smooth as glass and mucho thanks too all in this thread!

I know this is an old thread but just wondering what you did when you did your install. Did you remove the whole motor? Or did you just unscrew the old antenna mast off of the teethed cable and put the fixed antenna onto that? I just got the same antenna from Amazon and there's tension on the cable when I try to pull of the old antenna mast. Thanks

If your cord is still Attached to your antennae I think you dodged a bullet. I don’t believe you have to remove the motor at all, take a look on YouTube.Typically with these, as with mine, if your “cord“ breaks off into the motor assembly then you have to dig in behind the wheel well and do the whole motor disassembly. Yours should take 5 minutes if I’m not mistaken.

Same here. My wife broke the mast everything works fine, but the tooted plastic part won't come out. I gave it a decent tug and it's not moving.

Mine took way more force than I was comfortable with, but it came out. Pull more than "decent". Don't yank it, just give a good steady pull with lots of force straight up.
