That's kind of it so far. I'm working on exaust and air filtration. I can't wait to finish and try her out. We'll let u know what happens:beer:

It's a 1984, I used the 2 1/6 " autometer gauges so theyre snug but fit.Eric, your install gave me the inspiration I needed to gat started.
After seeing the engine compartment of Lostmarbles I started cleaning up here and there.

Moe, there is two about 3/8" hose each side of the throttle body, instead of using tierap they supplied i got some hose clamps tridon. Thats to avoid the hose to pop out due to pressure.

I'm going to have to clean mine, winter project, but i use my rig the wheel so 2-3 rides and it all going to be brown again.

Yes, I noticed that on yours and planed on doing the same. As far as cleaning your rig I say keep playing hard and having fun:D just hose her off now and then.

U mean AR and all that? I sorta argued with Turboglide because they advertised one thing and sent me another. However, after reading the info on mud, not to mention Turboglides logical explaination, ie: spooling at certain RPM's, size of engine and such, I was satisfied. Still have to give her the bench and the road test. Oh yea, a lot of what I read was people arguing over this and that, which I thought was good info. Totally different points of view coming to a pretty close conclusion.

Nice Writeup on install and gauges :) Need more pics of the overall rig though

so they give u the other size and it not the same what u order??
lucky u was get the power turbo, i get order the turbo, they give me the fake turbo, then different size too, then i use for half and hours, already finish, the shaft is burn everything cant use, need fix again , then he only change me the original part, then cost me can buy 3 turbo already or one and half ballbearing turbo... now i gonna order dirrect from garrett distributor for better insurance:princess:

How they explained it to me was, the one they advertised for the 3B was way too large and would not spool up at a low enough RPM. So what I thought I was supposta get would have been the wrong size turbo. Sorry to hear u had so much trouble with your set up.

Hey, have you went for a spin yet?

Eric, old man winter has reared it's ugly head. When they break out the salt trucks, I put the LC in the garage for the winter. If we get a dry peroid i will take her out for a spin. I have a temporary exaust system and am putting some final touches on the air filter. I'll post up some pic's soon.

Moe

Same here, as soon as i see those salt truck around the cruiser stay inside.

looks kick ass. one thing i would suggest is that you stay away from that nylon tubing for liquid pressures. If that s*** breaks you will have one hell of a mess. The copper tubing is harder to work with, but i think its a better long term way to go about it.

congrats on the new turbo.

Thanks Purple

Funny u should mention the oil pres. line. This young man at NAPA pointed out the same thing. He said he'd never run an oil line into the cab. I get the point and you've got me thinking how else to do this or take your chances and go copper.

Still getting some things together. I used the old exaust to make a temp. exaust system. The flex hose is cheep and leaks pleanty of exaust fumes. This should get me to the pipe shop no problem.

I took the muffler out of the system. When I started her it didn't sound any different so when spring comes I'll go with a straight pipe.

Thanks to Eleblanc I was able to figure out how to get the stock air box to work. I hate to butcher stock parts but had to in this case. A little cut and weld and it's all over. It just makes everything come together right. Anyway, once you go turbo, you never go back. right..
