I had to turn the air cleaner lid clockwise, slightly, to get everything to line up. This put a lot of stress on the stock air tube supplying air to the box.

I ended up replacing the stock tube with aircraft heater ducting called sceet for my air supply. ( Thanks Daryl the big brownbear!) Home cheepo sells the vaccum nozzle which fit nicly.:D

My brother came by at Christmas and I was showing him the turbo and all and he saw that I had a newly installed brake master cyl. He says," so did u bench bleed that mc"? I says," what's that"? He explained that I could do this procedure with the mc still on the rig. I did a search here and got lots of info. Thanks mud!

That is odd, my air filter box is not like that at all. Mine only the top goes off, so turning the cover to point 90 deg to the motor was easy without modifying anything. So turning the cover wouldn't rotate the air inlet

Hey Tim
I expect better power and pickup after I turn up the fuel. Right now max EGT's are 800 F so I have some room. I'll have some more before and after turning up the fuel videos in the future. Right now were looking at 8" to 12" tonight and tomorrow in the NE. Too much salt:frown:

Thankx T
U should post pics of your new ride here where they will truley be appreciated!!

Thanx. I wasn't sure where to post but figured most people here, read the 40 section also;)

Moe, only realised now that your truck is also RHD.
Somewhere it was mentioned that the RHD 4# might have been a problem to turbo as it could get a little cramped in there.
Did you have any clearance issues with the master cylinder , steering or anything else? Do you have any pics of how your exh is routed from the turbine ? Did you have to reroute any of your existing plumbing to improve clearance?

that's a great install. congrats!

on the subject of your exhaust...... try it out with no muffler, the turbo will absorb a lot of the sound, in fact i like the sound of the turbo with out no muffler, it's not as loud as you would think. both myself and cruiser_guy, have no muffler and are happy with results.

Hey Theo

I didn't have to move anything so you shouldn't either. The only mod was to cut a peice of the air box tube and weld the connector that came with the kit. This is necessary to make a clean fit to the turbo compressor. My exaust is temporary and was pieced together with flex hose and the existing system. I actually had to angle the exaust forward but it works for now.

I totally agree with u. Took the muffler off when I was peicing the temp system together and there is no difference in the before and after sound. I'm hoping a 2 1/4" straight pipe will have a throaty sound. A pic of where the muffler was.

Those are hills

Congrats sounds good.

Funny thing, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the video lol.
At that point I'm usually at a dead stop and it seems like forever to get to the top of the hill. All the cars from the light would be on my a$$ fast. Not anymore:D. I thought I was getting a video on much steeper hill but the ol ball n chain forgot to turn the power on the camera:doh:
