About a month or two ago i read the seafoam thread and decided to give it a try. I've since run it through the crankcase, gas tank, as well as the pcv hose. I've been very happy with it and its made a noticable difference in the truck. My only question is this, the thread stated that a cleaner engine will smoke less.

I think all total I have run about 6 cans through thr throttle body/pcv, sometimes pouring a half of a can in each, at once. It will often tank a minute to finally start but when it does it smokes like crazy, i mean clouds upon clouds and still does it after 6 cans.

Is it a total waste to keep running it through the 1FZ or will it finally all clear up eventuallu?

Thanks, BD

6 cans sounds like a lot of seafoam. Take a peek in there - if it looks pretty decent leave it alone for a while. As long as you keep adding seafoam you will keep getting impressive amounts of smoke and scaring the neighbors (tell them it gets rid of the mosquitoes) just dont add any more and eventually it will stop smoking as it burns off.

Was it smoking before the seafoam? You could have other issues.

I did the fuel treatment. How long do you leave it in the crankcase? Instructions don't say. I was thinking 1-2 weeks.

Just to clear things up I've run 6 cans in the last two months. At most, 1 can at a time. All I am saying is that everytime i do it, it smokes but only for a few mintues like everone elses. The truck has no problems and doesnt smoke otherwise. Its been in the crank about two weeks now and will come out in about a week when i do an oil change.

Damn Brandon thats alot of Seafoam.

Might be a little bit of overkill there youngin. :D
