Installed Cruiser88's OME lift package this weekend. Everything went really smooth except for the front passenger side...getting the old spring out was an absolute bitch - even with an oxy/acetylene rig.

I was very surprised that I didn't end up with any 'cruiser lean' - it sits very nicely as is.

I don't need any caster angle correction, which really really surprised me.

Overall install was about 6 hours.

Gained about 4 - 4.5" over stock height.

Anyone have any 33s????

Feel free to ask any questions.

- Jake

nice looking cruiser. Looks kinda like my 87 with that roof rack except with better paint, less rust, and a good lookin dog in it. ;)

Quick question on it, how is it feeling from the inside? My truck has an old OME suspension, but I gather it's old because it's covered in grime and sagging already.

Coyote...

Hey Coyote -

The ride feels way better than the stock set-up. I've also got the MAF heavy duty shackles too, so I gained some more height.

The ride before was kind of a 'death bounce'.

Now it is firm, but not bumpy. The steering is much tighter, and the truck does not feel as loose when I'm cornering.

I was expecting to have a very very tippy feeling while driving, but it feels much better lifted than it did at stock height.

to sum it up....you still feel bumps, but the truck feels much more solid and comfortably 'stiff'.

Jeverich,
what size shackles did you go with?
