I bet your neighbors across the street are wondering why you didn't buy their Collectors Edition haha

So what gets the garage, the 80 or the Mercedes?

Welcome to the Cruiser addiction.
Time to put your neighbors to the test of adjusting to the sounds and sights of a vehicle project.

^^ You know, I really thought long and hard about the 2" vs 4" thing. I'm really happy with the Slee lift, but I definitely need more rock time behind the wheel before I get comfortable with where the limits of the truck are now.

Of course I did so much to it in a short period of time there was a lot to get used to ;)

Welcome to the 80 club Dominick!

cruiseorlando your truck drives over rough rocky terrain and obstacles like a cadillac... thats why i picked up the 80 series.

<cough> Marlin <cough>

if you want to become one with the rough trail, feel every bump/ rock, and the full experience of the outside weather conditions (rain, cold etc) and have it be uncomfortable enough that the wife won't want to go with you? get a 40. if you want to enjoy the outdoors while being comfy, cozy and smooth out the rough get the off road cadillac. (AKA) land cruiser 80. with some slight mods that is..

Do you know him? Or did you activate stalker mode to see a Mercedes and neighbors CE? Either way, I'm impressed.

the 80 across the way was sitting in their drive way for a long time, but have not seen it few a few weeks. i have a 3 car garage Matt. Mercedes suv, 95 LC, & 78 LC. i refer to the Mercedes as an suv here solely due to body style not real life function. heck it would likely get stuck on the front lawn if the grass was wet.

I thought your 3rd bay was full of stuff?

how did the person in the titan not see the big fat ars of the 80? its huge. . and yes i could have bought one already done up for less than what its going to cost me to make her trail worthy.. but i just had to have the white.

its getting a ome 2.5in as the current stock suspension is toast.. and checking tire options currently .... I'm thinking 305/70/16 bfg m/t. any suggestions?

I went with the KM2 BFG. I got them in a "e" rating so they have a few more plies. They performed great at Windrock. I never once was concerned with popping a hole in them or tearing a sidewall on the rocks.

The tires are amazingly quiet for a mud tire at hwy speeds, and are obviously really good in the mud.

The 305s are nice, but I prefer em tall and skinny. 285/75/16 or 255/85/16

Talk to Kurt at Cruiser outfitters if you want an OME lift. From experience- get the heavies up front and mediums out back.

i thought the 305 was the tall and 70 was skinny. damn metric sys tool of the devil. that pic is exactly what I'm looking for. 33-34 tall 10.5 wide bfg mt/km2
the lift kit arrived tues, (2.5 in OME from Slee) it's sitting in the back of the 80 incase it wants to put its self on. oh yeh ill ill ask for the E rating. may pic em up at the expo if i find a better deal there than on line.

305's are wide. That's what I used to have on mine.

Stock setup with 305's on it:
