Thanks to all the information i have collected from this board, i started my axle rebuild this morning.....i got the drivers side completed save for bleeding the brakes. Im waiting on completing the passenger side to bleed the breaks...i jsut want to say a big thank you to all the knowledgeable posters out there that have given me the knowlege to complete this take... ....if it wasnt for a t-storm i would have started the passenger side.... my shade tree doesnt block rain.......

Man, it's like women getting pregnant in the spring around here! Everybody is breaking into there knuckles. I bet cruiser shops phones around the country were ringing off the hook last week.

i agree...everywhere i turned someone was tearing theirs apart....good for everyone...ive never done any axle work before....

Remember the bleed order driver rear then pass rear then driver front and finally pass front (US Spec.).

Dynosoar:zilla:

well its done......the upper knuckle bearing was toast....it fell apart when i disassembled the knuckle....that must be the contributing factor to why my steering was jumpy.....now it turns smooth and no more gear noise on deceleration...... thanks again to all here on mud....:beer:......need two today......

Good job. I think I may be next- the only leak I have (right now) is my DS knucke. I'm glad I waited until it was 120 degrees in my garage to take care of this!
