Lets qualify this. This is NOT RADD CRUISERS booty fab. This is customer drop off HIS rig and HIS work booty fab!

Thank you. Now I feel better.

TB :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Hey Rob, What flavor of turbo was used? Also do you have any idea what the wall thickness is of the pipe he used for the exhaust manifold?

Colby

The turbo is a Toyota CT26 off of an early Supra.

Like Tom said it is a CT26 off a Supra and my guess on the pipe is it is schedule 80 and the wall thicknes is somewere around 1/4 inch?

Anyways it is a customers rig and the turbo is the best part of the truck even though it builds power at 2000RPM and above which really is not usable.

I have two CT26s that will go on E-Bay after driving this rig.

We have brought in a turbo this week and will run it up on a 1977 FJ40 project that I have posted in Hard Core Corner by mistake.

Will keep you posted on the outcome.............

Sorry I must reclairfy that the best part of the customers rig is the H55 we rebuilt and installed :P, I was just poking fun at the six stack of hockey pucks that make up the body lift HOLEY :o :o..

The owner is one of the nicest cruiser owners I have ever met and he is running this baby down to South America this month.

I hope he deals with the hockey puck ift of six inches prior to his voyage......

Rob isnt kidding. There are literally "stacked" individual body mount peices that make up the body lift. I dont know, 4+ inches I'd say.

TB ??? :P ???

will that fit on a 1fz-fe?? ;)

Photos not showing up?

Rob, cool! If that turbo does not work then perhaps something off a 2.1 or 2.3 liter gas engine like a Volvo or Saab. My guess is that the smaller displacement of these engines will mean the turbo will spool up faster compared to one out of a 6 cyl gas engine (what is the volume of the Supra engine?). I would be very interested to see how it would turn out especially because these turbos are somewhat common....

Reliable sources tell me the Lebaron turbo worked out the best of all booty fab turbo installs. I would like to pit it against the Denco we just installed.

I also considered the MR2 turbo as that engine is a small four cylinder, I also have one of those CT26s sitting here.

At one point I was going to run the Supra turbo and then switch to the MR2 for comparision, just no time to play with stuff like that.
