Gents,
I have a 1975 HJ45 with the stock axles and drum brakes all the way around. Some 1976 FJ40 axles with front disc brakes have come up for sale and I was thinking of swapping over. I'm sure the axles fit without modification, but I'm curious about the brakes. The brakes on this HJ tie in to a vacuum canister which is obviously fed by the 1H. My canister happens to leak a bit and I'd like to delete it altogether. Is all of this possible by a guy with minimal wrenching ability?
Thanks for the help!
