'96 LX-450:

Per the RS3000 instructions, I have turned off the passive mode. If I lock the doors with the remote and then unlock the doors with my key and open any door, the alarm goes off. Is this normal?

I would like to be able to open doors and even drive my cruiser without having the key fob.

same thing here, once you turn the key on the alarm should stop.
