Very impressive work you've done. I can't wait to see you on some trails when I come out your way.

Thanks ddnuts, feel free to give me a shout whenever your closer someday.

Speaking of... Disassociative is on his way from Colorado to Wyoming today. Hopefully he has a good trip and we meet up for a beer and food later this evening. It's been a little rainy today and hope he and the wife gets over the pass outside of Laramie without any problems. It's just rolling interstate from there to us here in Green River.

Had a great evening. Disassociative and his bride made it safely to Rock Springs last night. We had dinner, visited for a bit and then the cruisers sniffed each others butts and wagged their tailpipes for awhile... HA!. Great evening, great people, great cruisers.. So nice to meet up with good people.

Here are a couple of night shots.. Hope D's pics came out better than mine did.

Thanks for a good time guys.:beer: Be safe and stay in touch.

Sorry you have to leave, that sucks, I hope it's an upward transition for you!

Which thermometer is that? I've seen it before on here but weren't sure where folks were getting them.

Looks like a great BBQ.

T, here is the Amazon link for the thermometer. The BBQ was very tasty BTW...

It's not a done deal yet and YES, its a upward transition for the family. I've been working contract or day to day work for the past 5 years and it's time to have a 12 month paycheck. We've been just fine but, the stresses of the downtime have finally caught up to me and the family. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy 2 to 4 months off a year. It's just time to settle in a little more.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Where did you get the digital thermo?

I might have to stop reading your thread if it costs me too much money!

We are all screwed...haha...this threads like crack

Well glad to hear that things may become more "stable" for you in the fiscal area but always sucks to have to move and make a new place home. Sure you will find tons of guys in that area and will be nice that you are that much closer to Moab. I know that one of these years I want to get out there on my mountain bike and ride for a few days. Next year though is a 50 mile race in Steamboat Springs.

And I agree with Wyoming, really need to stop reading your thread as the "FJ60" wishlist keeps growing on Amazon.

You guys are funny.... You should see my Amazon wishlist..HA! OMG!

Wife just called and said all my rear brake parts just showed up... WooHoo!

I ran Marley quite a bit this weekend. I now have a brake leak on the passenger side rear... But, can't seem to locate it. It's not dripping from the drum/wheel cylinder area but seems higher and running and dripping off my shock. I'm guessing an upper brake hose connection maybe or a split in the flex line???? Any thoughts fellas? I"ll look again tonight when I get in.

I can't remember the way the original brake lines were routed. I re-did mine with the chasis. And, I gave away my extra lines! D'oh! If you call Steve at Man-a-fre he can give you the NAPA part number for the lines.

Ok, Thanks I-Man. I may go back with the SS lines anyhow. I looked at my fronts last night and they are really looking bad.. Rears are as well, but I still can't seem to find the leak on the rear passenger side... RAH!

I have MAF stainless brake lines on my FJ60. The lines to the axles are extended. The lines for the front brakes installed nicely. I like them a lot. So much that I bought their SS clutch hose recently. It is made by the same manufacturer it appears. I like that I will be all matching once it is installed :D

I would post photos but photobucket is down. Grrr

If my photos are still working I have pictures somewhere on this site. Maybe in my ROTM thread. Blue words (its a link) in my signature I think.

How much longer are they than the stock ones Kline? I heard 2" to 4" longer...

J

Ahh you found it!

I can't remember how much longer they are. 4" seems more likely. I think MAF's site says.

With my OME Medium I have plenty of room to flex. My stock lines were too short. I stretched the rear out pretty good one time haha. That stock line was straight as a rod. I have had no problems with these SS lines.

Excellent, thanks Kline.

Don't worry about the SS braided lines lengths. With your fab skills, when you replace the brake lines, you can build lower brackets for the end points of the lines a little closer to the axles.

It ain't pretty but it works.
