So this project has been in the making for several weeks. Most of the original paint had to come off because rust was getting through, bodywork had to be done, and por-15 was applied in several areas. The rear quarters were chopped, and I got rid of the rear sprayer and wiper since the didn't do anything but scratch my rear glass. Enjoy!

Those last pictures show the 2k primer I sprayed. Then there was lots of sanding, body filler, more primer, more sanding...........
Here's the first coat of Monstaliner from tonight. Last coat goes on first thing in the morning, and by Saturday I should be able to get it all put back together.

Nice work. I like it.

I'll be going panel by panel on mine and rolling it on. Really hoping I can make it my spring project.

Thanks! Just finished the second coat. I'm leaving for a reunion first thing monday morning so it will have all week to sit and harden in my garage. Hopefully I didn't lose any parts. :D
Anyone have an idea of where I can find these tabs that hold the weather strip on the doors?

How much did you use, 2 gallons or 3? You think 2 is enough for an 80?

I did use 2 gallons and I would think 2 would be plenty for an 80. I had around a quarter gallon left from each can.

What color is that?

Nearly finished. All the doors are hung. Just need to finish with some of the weatherstripping and fix the mechanism inside the tailgate.

Looks great!

So did you find that it was much easier to do the monstaliner on the doors with them off the vehicle? What was the purpose of taking them off and how hard was it to get them back on? I am planning on doing this at some point, got to take care of the rust first, but was contemplating removing doors for "ease" of application.

I removed the doors so I could ruff up the paint inside the door jams where the hinges are. I wanted to make sure and get full coverage everywhere. I also removed all the door hardware. Lining the doors back up was actually surprisingly easy. Though it does take two people to do it.
