Today the weather is very cold in Montreal (-25C). I needed boost to start my Cruiser (BJ60).

Firstly, the first service could not start my Cruiser. When the second body arrived for boost my Cruiser... something strange occurred.

There was no more electricity for the engine... or injection (?). No "charge" light, not of "glow" light, no "filter" light... nothing in the dash. But, my head light functioned, the starter functioned but it did not seem to get diesel injection in the engine (??).... I start to feel bad... but suddenly, the whole start to work correctly in the dash ... and in the engine... so it start (finaly... because it was pretty long):confused: Now all functions correctly... but I am afraid that that occurs again in a unpleasant moment and place... in the deep Wood for example.

What did you thing about my bad adventure ?... a relay? shorts cut? bad fuses?

Where can I find the electrical feeding diesel system of my cruiser?

In other words, I do not have any idea of the origin of my problem :o

Some one alredy experience that problem...

Maybe it the temperature ? Did I have to move in the south ? ;)

Check/replace the fusible links at the drivers side battery. They are probably old. I think one does the headlights and one does the rest while the starter is separate completely.
