Does anyone have the part numbers for the rebuild/refresh kit for the OEM alternators. I have a 1996. I need to probably replace the brushes and misc stuff.

Clarify what you're looking for. I've never heard of a refresh kit, and you ask about a brush kit and also about a complete rebuild kit. Kinda 3 questions. Do you simply want new brushes??

I dont know what parts are available for these alternators. I just want the consumable parts that wear. I couldnt find much info on the topic so i kinda threw those options out there.

I have the bearings and brush kit on order so looking to rebuild it if I can. I have never been deep in an alternator so we'll see.

Yea - the alt brushes are a good maintenance item if you have the alternator out or easily accessible. And cheap too - less than $20 for them from Toyota.

Brushes are cheap for the 80. $14.66 MUD price. There are two bearings in there also but I prob wouldn't change them unless you have a problem. For both bearings is only $30.

Being in the business, the only thing we ever changed really other than just replacing the whole alternator is the brushes. The more common item nowadays seems to be the regulators (the one for the 80 is $140.56.)

I believe that the front bearing on the alternator is the same bearing that is in a belt pulley on the older pickup trucks which is why they are always on back order from Mr. Toyota. The truck guys have learned that its cheaper to replace the bearing than it is for the high dollar pulley.
Buckru...still waiting on that bearing. I have not forgotten about you my friend.
