Should be done by Monday or Tuesday if weekend responsibilities/schedule don't change. I'm in even with potential fuel cost increases...
Gave up looking for wheel lock key - ground it down and hammered an impact socket on it - rear 2 should be easy, but the fronts are a biatch. Birf was pretty roasted, but the damage made it easier to get out (76 axle ground down for mini-birfs is pretty tight). Should be ok for a weekend with new knuckle studs - will replace knuckle when I build up the springover axle. Next up - frame repairs... Damm, with all the damage I already repaired and stuff I'm still finding - I definitely should have stoof up for the busted birf award.
Looking forward to dry/cool weather and no hurricane related rain.
I am in for the Camping!!!!!!!!!!! If you guys dont care my brother is coming up with his friend from Tampa in Two Land Rover Discovery's, bone stock..... Should be fun watching.......
well, land rovers too, now I don't feel so bad with the jeep/chevy. I'll ask the drivers to be respectful of the land when "playing trucks"
Curious, if we roll into camp at mignight is everyone going to be asleep? Might need to hammer down. Got 500 miles of forest to run
I will be Alpha Pit days are long long long....Buddy Corey just posted up at FLCA saying that he knows a spot there that had rocks the size of VW's...He was wondering if we were in to at least check it out.....I am game to wheel it, Should be fun as all hell I know some of you WPBeachers are in with your big bad 40's
Don't know if any of you WPBeachers are also the deerfield crew that I saw parked along A1A before butttt...
I will be becoming up A1A tomorrow to surf deerfield if there is any swell left...anyone who surfs can paddle out before the Alpha run (would be sweet)... I have to run down to Carol City to pick up my new to me 80 and on the way back I am hitting up a few old surf spots..Then Camping out at Sebastion to surf Spanish House...
Didn't know they got surf south of Lake Worth - . I'm in downtown WPB, less than 10 minutes away from several good breaks on Palm Beach. I could make time to surf (heck might even have company down from Orlando that want to surf), but not sure it's gonna be that great - buoyweather's calling for some fairly consistent onshores (http://buoyweather.com/wxnav.jsp?re...atitude=26.75&longitude=-80.0&zone=-4&units=e) with small swell. After jamming 7 days straight on the last swell ( ) - it's been hard to go out in krap.
Needless to say - text me at (561) 512-8389 if you're in the neighborhood - I'm about 5 minutes off I-95 as well. If you're down on Sunday - Jim, Martin, myself and possibly a few others are meeting at a restaurant about 5 mins. from my house and 5 mins. off I-95 (Dontee's - south side of Belvedere Road less than a mile east of I-95) at 9:00 a.m. to talk Cruiser s***e.
I spoke with John B. today. Since we are not meeting for breakfast at 6:30 AM, he said he will probably meet us at Dantes. He is also thinking about going with us up to A-pit next week.
Al, I think surf up this way will be better than whayt it will be down south. Come join us on sunday. Bill will get you to some waves........
How well would a stock LX450 hold up on most of these trails? I wouldn't mind some mild wheeling, but I don't want to rip off my running boards, flares, etc.
Most all the difficult parts have drive arounds, but there is a hump at the enterance that must be passed that would be a challenge for the running boards. Just make it there and you can get a ride with someone guaranteed.
96LX450,
Come on down....We will talk ya through the "hump" its wicked easy...Other stockers have done it so can you...
As for the WPB guys...
I hit up hollywood, and the surf was craptastic so we just said screw it and drove up to Sebastion and hit up some head high crumblies...it was super fun fast surf...Sorry, I dint stop in but we wanted to catch some good waves before sun down..
Today we woke up to the wrong tide and din't find the right tide with good waves til flagler which occ. was over head...If anything else I will be seeing you guys in a few days at Alpha Pit for some wheeeeeeling...

Weather forecasts eve temps dipping into the high 60s this weekend! Whaa hoo! A chance of rain too. Hope not since I'm planning to drive the 40 up with a bikini top. The dog and I mights be getting a bit wet.
Hey guy's I'm new to the board but have been lurking for a long time. I'd love to wheel with you guy's this weekend. My question is I have my two daughters with me this weekend. Is this an adult only trail ride event? Is the wheeling a little too extreme for a 8 and a 4 yr old? Thanks for any reply's in advance.
Nope, bring whoever ya want. Last time my bestfriend brought his girlfriend and there two kids i think 7 and 3...I think they had just as much fun chasing bugs and making fun of my brother as I did wheeling..
Hope to see you at Camp friday night and safe travels..
