Just 2 days left!!!!

Has anyone installed one of these with a slee hitch receiver? I'm sure I'd have to do bit of fab work, just curious how much of a pita it would be.

@crikeymike I’ve got a 2nd Gen Tundra Reg Cab Short box. I’m not afraid to modify anything.
Can you get overall length of that tank and let me know. It says back order. That tank would
allow me to actually use the truck like my land cruiser - I could actually go somewhere.
Thanks. J
I’ve got the 40 gal tank on my 60.

Hey bud

Unfortunately Long Range doesn't allow any measurements of their tanks to be shared. They guard that info so that people don't try to copy it, even though someone could just buy it and replicate it.

It was only designed for the dual and crew cab. Several people have bought the tanks for a standard cab, but no one has ever reported back what mods or adjustments they had to do to the brackets for it to fit. The OEM tank is the same across the different cab styles, but the long range tank uses extra space where available during the design phase to get it to fit.

Ok thanks. Might look at removing that spare tire and seeing what kind of space I have to play with there.
I’m on a Tundra forum and there are a few guys crossed over to here as well. Tundra guys aren’t as modification keen as Land Cruiser guys. There is a factory style long range tank but it has a ridiculous unusable fuel amount.

I've dug into this a bit- the hitch wings still leave about 6 inches of space between where they tie into the receiver and the bumper.

I think it would be fairly simple to swap the receiver support ear to sit on the rear side of where it currently bolts into the receiver, then tie the receiver support bars into the rear side of where the tank support sits.

I've attached a pic of the slee support as well as exits tank support photo. You can see the tank support and receiver bolts use the same location, so you'd have to modify the receiver support rearward and weld the two together. There's plenty of space to move it back, with my Delta bumper at least.
