i'll be watching from the web , once again....
but last year when gas was 4.75 a gallon, it was looking like a necessity, but now that it's 2.25 here in SoCal....

still cant swing it, and the deep water crossings have me spooked a bit. But damnit I wanna go so bad.

Believe it or not we actually (finally) have the information and application packets ready.

The dates for the Trek have been firmly nailed down as the 9th through the 17th of July. we will be capping participation ate roughly 20 vehicles. plenty of slots open still.

If you are interested, send me your email address and I'll forward you the packet.

I have been spending very very little time in any of the online forums these days, but I will make it a point to watch this thread and keep track of any comments or questions.

Awesome! We will not be able to go this year, but I would like to while my Dad still lives up there. Are you still in the mode of doing the Trek every other year?

Hard to say. We are still hoping to get the Blue Moose Overland project off the ground someday. Once that happens it will seriously impact any efforts that we can devote to the ACT. :(

We might even start making the ACT an every year thing if Blue Moose Overland remains in limbo.

Darrell, I actually boosted the Facebook post about your rig on the Cruisers Only page. Reached an addition 2000 or so local people I think. I have actually been doing a little pondering and scheming to see if there was anyway I could "take it off of your hands". Just to keep it in the family, so to speak.

Is Blue Moose Overland the rental business?

Blue Moose, when/if it happens, will be a guided backcountry tour. We will provide the rigs and the gear and provisions and pretty much everything. It will be very similar to the Trek except you will be able to fly in, jump in a rig that is provided to you and just toss the keys back to us when it is all over..

You gotta like that!
