3rd day wake-up view, more rain
Somewhere in the pic is a grayling, maybe 12”. He kept his distance but kept looking at me
When we joined the Richardson hwy it cleared up, mostly

so nice to see the sun, no rain. Here are a couple pictures from last year’s road construction, turned out nice
Start on the Nabesna road. This was also a pretty slow going road, lots of rocky sections.
Nabesna is a very scenic place
Parked at Nabesna and walked to a abandoned mine on a mountain side.
Views over The Valley were awesome
Nabesna. Some of the homes were rescued from abandoned mines in the area. One guy was born there in the 50’s and has never left, still lives there.
Next mornings view
Drive out to GlennAllen then Lake Louise for the 5th night
Lodge, trying to keep the tent dry since it dried out in Nabesna.
Couple shots to Palmer
So following Monday left for Petersville road, north of Talkeetna on the Parks hwy. Going to/from Fairbanks we would always drive past this road. Figured it was time to check it out. It’s also a gold mining district, still has some active gold mining at the end of the road. Hey
This road bed is made of timber. The road to Nabesna has same road bed. Timbers down, gravel on top
