I have an early 70's aisin carb and would like to know what the purpose of one of the bolts is. if you pull apart the upper and lower halfs of the carb, by removing the three boltrs from the lower half, there is one bolt, about 1.25" long that has a 3/32 hole through the center of it. mine is stripped pretty good and I need to know If I need to get the same bolt, with the hole in it, or if a regular bolt works just as well. trhanks for the help guys.

the bolt was stripped. I happen to have a steel bolt, the same size and thread pitch, can I just drill a hole into the new bolt?

haha well thanks for the answers jim. I have the abilities to drill a bolt out but wanted to make sure it would work okay. guess we'll see.

I think I have what you need. Post a pic of the fubar'd one. Free for postage, magic brownies, vinyl, GF(if she's hot) You know the drill;)

If it was me, I would see about getting a bolt from somebody's junkpile here on Mud.

Wait, Ed, does this mean I owe you some magic brownies?

Well, I know I can trust Ed not to shoot it up. And he only takes it while at work, not while he's wheeling. :D
