i found this one

AISIN FCT004 Radiator Fan Clutch | RockAuto

but in the pic the spindle is black not blue

He looks at the motor and starts humming like a hummingbird look here taking the piece of straw out of moth you need a new fan clutch and a master cylinder.

i said no problems I LL order Blue Aisin unit and I LL upgrade it according to instruction on IH8MUD

He looks at me and tells me "you are all mentally sick " i got another FZ80 crazy customer

Many of us, especially those in very hot climates, upgrade the fluid inside the fan clutch. It helps cool the engine better and it helps lower A/C temps.

you intend that i will mod the FC? i had no intention to do that

so i need to drain it first and throw to the garbage factory unused silicon oil???

so Aisin Is a low quality producer

OMG

Modifying it is up to you.

I'm saying open it up BECAUSE they can be faulty coming from your Aisin source. Faulty in that ZERO or near zero oil was added to the clutch before you got it. So you could be replacing a clutch with one that has no oil. That would be hell.

can you tell me how much oil should be in the standard FC? do i need to adjust the valve if i use 10k oil? or i must use 6k oil like original is i don't mod it?

If you are seeing that many, wouldn't be surprised if it's a counterfeit or chi-com.

I will upgrade the old one that is on the rig if the metal parts will be ok

my rig will work in the lowest place in the world and one of the hottest

Best I could measure after baking my new Aisin clutch for many hours in multiple positions in the oven, I collected about 20ml. The clutch was pretty empty looking but with some silicon fluid still sticking to the surface.....so maybe it had 22ml at most from factory. I put in 42ml of 15k cst fluid. Works amazingly well.

@Kaninja did you mod the valve temperature?

Why did you bake it in the oven wouldn't it be much quicker and easier to use Freon or cab spray?

Yes I modded the clutch slightly.....very minimal adjustment was needed in my case. I followed landtank's guide.

I baked clutch in the oven @ 200°F on the :princess: favorite CorningWare. Helps the fluid flow our quicker. Could have used a cleaner but.....:hillbilly:

Whats a good solvent for Silicone Oil?

Hexane. Nasty stuff. It is what I used years ago when cleaning up after calibrating viscometers with various silicon fluids.

Otherwise hot water, and a strong detergent and LOTS of elbow grease.

There is hexane, or there was, in brake cleaners. I know there was a push to make brake cleaners hexane free because hexane is VERY bad for you.
