Can't find any information regarding these....

They're NIB....but not the "OE" box.

Comparing measurements to Asco's, appears they're spot on in every respect, but can't find a glitch of info when searching Mud or Google for Aisin 6 spline, coarse spline, or any other combo of words.

Any info would be appreciated. Trying to determine if they're a rare pre-74 (which I highly doubt. Believe they'd say Asco) hub that'll see the 72 resto, or if I'll maintain course and run the incorrect 74 Asco's.

I swear I have seen some Chinese copies of the Aisan hubs........maybe? but even if.......its still strange

After further querying the source, they're stated as an NOS Toyota dealer purchase.

Seller buys sitting inventory from dealers and beyond knowing they were purchased from a Toyota dealer, knew nothing about them.

I'll take them off your hands if you are scared of them.

The OD-6 marking is interesting. I have not tried the inner piece from a Selectro or Warn to see if it would even be close to compatible with the Aisin body. Selectros are kind of similar as I recall but never had the two apart side by side.

The only other option, Bandierantes in Brazil retained the course spline drive plate throughout production, maybe they were for them, ended up in the wrong shipment or something.

Ain't skeered a nuthin'......but I ain't stupid either.

If they're not magically, pre-74 ASCOs, then they don't suit my purposes anymore so than the (6) NOS standard bore F pistons.....but they're cool, and had to have them.

The OD-6 is odd, I agree. Haven't seen anything similar on any other NOS labelled OE part, but my experience is limited, considering the general lack of a Pig specific OE parts still circulating.

Will be posing to the South American crowd as soon as I can translate. Thanks for the clue.

Guess I'll tear into one to see if any other visual indicators might prove beneficial to determining the what and when.

this is odd......I just found these pics on my old photo site.......

they sure look like 6 splines like you have........and I am sure they are mine and up in the attic, I sorta remember them now! I knew I had seen a set before

Where'd yours originate from, out of curiosity?

Best speculation I can make is a production of early model Aisins must've been as an aftermarket option for the early splined birfs, after the change to OE fine spline.

No clue, until yesterday, I had forgotten I even had them, will try to find them

looking thru my old parts books, Toyota shows a OEM manual locking hub for 1/75-9/75 coarse spline, however all drawings dont look like what we have, they have the longer body with a odd dial. 9/75+ look like normal Aisin hubs

Delancy's pic above is the OE ASCO hubs used through 1975. The hubs change to the modern one in the first post sometime in the mid 70's. But they say ASCO up through1980-ish? Then they say Aisin through the end.

Delancy's "new" hubs then must be the 81-later Aisins used on Bandy and sold by US toyota dealers as a stock replacement for 75-earlier trucks.

AISIN all the way. Even a question?

Keep in mind that my original plan was flanges or Selectro's, an effort to maintain a strict "resto" theme.

The Asco's were a concession that was debated (the Selectro's are "for sale". Hahahaha) considering they weren't a 72 offering.

Guess either could be considered a conversation piece.
