my airbag light is has been on for the roughly the past month, I don't know what caused it. Just appeared to be on one day while i was driving. I already did the reset where you ground the connectors in the DTC. After I do the procedure, the light goes off and then comes back on maybe 5 seconds later. I switched the bulb to LED but that was over 2 years ago, but the light has been illuminated for about a month.
Ultragauge not showing any codes.
Should I check the connector in the steering wheel or are there other connectors for the airbag elsewhere that I should check? thanks!

Not to be a dick, but what does the diagnostics page in the FMS say to look at? I don't know, I'm just putting it out there.

Like I said, Not being a dick...I looked it up.

"The diagnostic system malfunction display for this circuit is different to other circuits -when the SRS warning light remains lit up and the DTC is a normal code, source voltage drop is indicated."

The book says your trouble ares are the battery and/or the Airbag sensor assembly.

I have the E copy and find it hard to navigate. Did your find the part that you copy and pasted under "introduction-For all vehicles" or under steering "supplemental restraint system"? I'm looking into it more and cannot find the part you quoted for me.
Thanks again for your help. Either i'm retarded or the online fsm is a pita to navigate.

Under Diagnostics DI-238 in the 96 addition

I've been looking all morning and still haven't found it. lol I'll keep looking, thanks
Section "DI-Diagnostic Information" in the FSM, not the EWD. Page DI-238 "How To Proceed With Troubleshooting Supplemental Restraint System"
If you're looking at page numbers of the actual PDF file, it's page 671.

Tip for reset
Alternate between Tc and AB to ground, start with Tc with 1 sec interval.
On the 5th count, hold the Tc to ground approximate 3 sec.
when the airbag light blinking, let go the Tc.
If hold the Tc for to long, the airbag light will remain on.

You're the man dude. I can't thank you all enough for the help.
I guess I don't have the actual fsm. I have the "Toyota 1996 Land Cruiser Repair Manual (RM451U)" saved on my computer. It doesn't have the same layout or as much info as the fsm has. Pages aren't even in order so I have to dig through all the individual files. Apparently the FSM download is no longer available.

I reset the srs light again and it popped back up again in about 4-5 seconds. According to another thread on here, that means that there's a hard fault with the srs.
I got the dash to finally show a code 31, so I guess I'll just replace the airbag sensor assembly with a used one. It says never to use SRS parts from another vehicle and only use new parts, but I'm not spending 800 for a brand new airbag sensor lol.

Thanks again everyone for all your time and your help!

That is the FSM.
really? mine is all broken down into individual folders and I couldn't find the section you were referencing. Its all in folders and none of it is in order by page number.
