Is anyone running air to water intercoolers on their 3b's? Theres a company called frozen boost that makes them for an affordable price, and I've heard nothing but good things about them so far.
Low pressure drops, lower EGTS and no leaks. I don't know... Check out their site and tell me what you think.

Lets hear your thoughts.

Thanks.

Hello mate, Im using a watercooler in my kzt, and I can tell you is a good way to go if you pump air more than 10-12 psi, if not it is not necesary, 3 b is a hi compresion ratio engine, I dont know if is a good idea, in any case the result is very good, I test whit two gauges , in and out temps and in some situations the temp i the turbo exit is 90 degrees, celsius, at the time in the intake never goes over 45, it is a good result I think, you can check also Votionspeed.com , all of them are from China, like frozen, in any case no so bad for the low price you pay,

Built one for my 2LTE LJ78. I could not be happier. Works super well. It has way more capacity than my engine needs, so same parts would probably work on a 3B. I think I spent around $550 in parts or so. Here is a link with pictures, info and part links: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/lj78-air-water-intercooler-working.745872/

Only problem I've had is when going camping with my family (towing a camper trailer) on Fridays in summer, I get stuck in rush hour traffic for about an hour and then hit a long climb 6-8% grade. Because I don't have fans on the radiator part of the system, the whole system will heat soak from engine bay heat while I'm sitting in rush hour traffic not moving. Then I hit the big hill, and the system can't deal with the fact it's been heat soaked, and has the additional turbo heat. So, yeah, I"m looking for some slim 6-8" fans to throw on there for when I'm stuck in traffic. As long as I'm moving, the system is excellent though.
