Air Bag Checkup?

I was sitting in my LX last night and read the airbag warning label on the backside of the visor. It states that the airbag system needs to be checked 10 years after being manufactured and every two years after that. Have any of you guys with rigs around that decade mark taken them in? C-Dan is this a necessity? Just curious...

a couple airbags that would need to be checked more often than yearly for sure.
