48998-60010 middle, most likely to fail
48999-60010 closest to pump

They're like brake lines so someone can fabricate them

Check prior invoice and all 3 of those lines were replaced in 2017. Back then I had a significant leak while I was driving.
Will be investigating this on Fri myself as the dealer just wants to throw bunch of expensive parts on.

Sooo.... May have spoke too soon.

The truck didn't leak a drop since the original post as far as I can tell. But I'm just now checking the fluid level and from what I can tell the reservoir is basically empty....

It's frustrating cause I didn't check AHC fluid when I bought the rig so it's hard to say if I lost any in the year of ownership. However I would think fluid level this low would cause a problem.

Is there a low AHC fluid warning light?

I'm going to top off the reservoir and start reading up on globe replacement / AHC fluid flush threads.

If you haven’t done it yet illuminate the reservoir from the other side with a bright light. It is very difficult to see the true level once everything is that dirty.

I don't believe there is level sensor as I don't see error for low level in the WSM, however, I would think another error like the c1763 -abnormal pressure would get tripped as pump would be unable to build pressure.

AHC fluid flush is not bad at all there was a good write up on how do it.

Two things, as @bloc stated, it’s very difficult to see the level just from the inspection door without a very bright light back lighting the reservoir. Also, there is room in the reservoir that you can’t see from the inspection window. If you look from behind the reservoir, from underneath (dropping spare helps with this) you can see that there is more room in the tank below what you can see in your picture.

Lastly, you definitely don’t want to “top off”, only fill to the max line. I assume you knew this, but just in case. You should be between min and max when in N.

Ok so I poured about half of a plastic cup of fluid into a funnel that was plugged into the reservoir... half of it made it to the floor which was frustrating. Then I rechecked the thread.

To your point.... I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out the actual level in this reservoir. Kind of impressive how hard it is to check and I'm using what i thought was a pretty bright light.

After 30mins of moving a light around I think the level is actually ok.....

It works better to put the light behind the reservoir.

This picture is from the rear. Shows how much more reservoir there is that you can’t see from the front. Those 2 lines are the min/max lines.
