AHC 16-Step Damper Test

Folks,

Long time lurker, and I appreciate all the info. 06 LX, 143K miles. I've got a Slee AHC Override installed running on H, with 275/70s. Performed the AHC fluid flush and get 11-12 grads on the graduation test. I get DTC 1751 on the techstream, and the ride over smaller variances in the road is very harsh. Front pressures are in spec, and rears are a little high, I have 30mm spacers ready to install.

I cant, for the life of me, find the process for the 16-step damper test; just references. I've used the search function, but maybe I'm missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciates. Thanks.

FYI when you have the override active then you’ve neutered the adaptive variable suspension because the vehicle doesn’t know it’s moving - that’s what the front wheel speed inputs to the AHC ECU do. Whilst driving in override H your front and rear damping stays at mid position 8, just like when you’re parked and testing neutral pressures, which can be pretty $hitty and damping performance is nothing like it should be. If you want a lift, within the constants of normal AHC/AVS operation, then a sensor lift with proper neutral pressure correction is the far better choice. Overriding the system’s normal inputs is better suited to a temporary lift when wanted or needed.
