Early on, there were some posts indicating 17" wheels work on the LC250. In practice, however, it looked like those wheels stuck way too far out past the fenders.

Is there any consensus on 17" wheels that work with the proper offset? It appears whether a particular 17" wheel clears the brake calipers may come down to the barrel design on the particular wheel.

I never found any wheels that I would want to put on my LC that had the same offset (+60 or +70) as OEM. The closest I could find was +40.

There may be ones that work but I didn’t like the look so I didn’t delve into offsets. I’m sticking with 18” Icons to get better clearance around the caliper. I figured the extra half inch of sidewall on each side doesn’t buy me as much as the extra half inch around the caliper. My 2 cents.

I don't really get the concerns about distance from the brake calipers. If a stone is small enough to get into that small of an area, it will get crushed between the wheel and the caliper regardless. .5" of more space around the caliper doesn't make that much difference.

And, if the barrel of the wheel is designed correctly, the space around the caliper could be the same as the OE Toyota 18" wheel.

A question I forgot to pose in the original post is whether the LC250's wheels are hubcentric, and, if so, what the bore size is.

I have a few (very few) 18" options with large offsets on the tire spreadsheet I put together. The 17" Methods have a few mm of clearance, a little too close for me. I'm hoping they will come out with higher offset 18" bead grip wheels (the 700 series). If you don't mind some poke, the 18" Methods with an 18mm offset will work. Otherwise they have a couple non-bead grip wheels with closer to stock offsets.

See second tab of: 2024 Land Cruiser Stock 18" Wheel Tire Options

Edit: and if you have more near stock offset wheel suggestions, point me to the specs and I'll add them.

I’d really like a 1” lift in the front end before I start tinkering with tires and these MRWs I have sitting in the garage! I have 2 sets to correct the stink bug look on order but no ETA for delivery. Very frustrating

Here’s what’s crazy! I ordered these and figured they be worth a try. The NEXT DAY I get an email from method that my order was cancelled, so I assume they figured that offset wouldn’t work 🤷‍♂️

No charge on my cc

Then they just show up at my door when I was out of town. I literally got a ring notification as UPS was unloading them. Two days later when I got home, they were still on my porch

Then I get an invoice from MRW. I called them yesterday but haven’t heard back

Will these work?? I don’t know but I expect them to NOT work and MRW to have them shipped back

They'll stick out about 3" more than the stock wheels. And clear the brake calipers by about 5mm. But they'll probably fit.
