2008 GX, non nav, non ML. Bought a 9” aftermarket stereo, also bought a plug and play wiring harness with can bus for it. Got it all plugged in and everything works including steering controls. The problem is my volume is barely there. I turned the factory stereo all the way up before unplugging it as well.
I have to turn the aftermarket stereo to max and I can barely start to hear it. I plugged the factory unit back in to check the speakers and it started blaring loud music. Swapped back to the aftermarket and hardly anything again... maybe the wrong wiring harness that isn’t utilizing the amp? Seems like it has to be, but it says it’s correct... idk.
Any ideas? I am pretty desperate. Already wasted 4+ hours trying.
