I didn't find much in a search.

I need to replace a front caliper due to some damage done by the original owner's gorilla of a mechanic.

I'm sure my 80k brake lines are fine, but "while I'm in there", I figure I'll refresh them, and be good for a very long time. Since I'm doing one caliper, I figured I'll do both and have it nicely refreshed before winter hits (my Stoptech Sport brake pads and OEM rotors are new with less than 2000 miles of wear, so they're staying).

A pair of stock rubber lines run $100 at the going discounted rate, are there any better aftermarket options - like maybe braided stainless steel with a protective sheath?

I've upgraded race cars and motorcycles with these and they helped pedal feel. I recall Speigler from motorcycles, but don't recall good auto sources.

DOT compliant might be good too.

Anyone have a good experience, brand or vendor that they'd be willing to share?

Are there any other bits, clips, fittings, banjo bolts, copper washers, etc, that you ran into during the job that you wished you had on hand?

PS. Stock brake setup on a 2016 LC, not converted to Tundra parts or anything I does have a lift of about 2 inches or so.

Not sure if you're looking to go as far as custom lines, but if you are, perhaps for extended lengths, you can try Crown Performance.

I have run braided lines on many of my vehicles. For the LC I purchased these, but haven't installed them yet.

Lines
These. Have about 10k so far there great. Highly recommend

The braided stainless lines to the caliper are a worth while upgrade. It is pretty noticeable. Quicker and firmer. And a simple job.

StopTech makes a very good line and it's affordable. If I recall they will also make a custom length if needed but don't quote me on that.

The SDHQ lines say they are designed to work with aftermarket suspension as they are added length over stock. Anyone know if there is any reason they would be too long to use with stock suspension? I plan to call SDHQ tomorrow and ask but figured I'd see if anyone on here has them hooked up with stock suspension set up first.

Should work fine, as it still will need to work in the stock range of suspension motion.
