I really don't care your intended use for the LC, be it mall crawling, dirt roads or wheeling.

There are a few rear bumpers I really like, @Delta VS has a really nice rear bumper, 4x4 Labs makes a great one and @Ken in AZ can get you in touch with Avid Offroad here in AZ. They have a good looking rear bumper too.

4X4 Labs has a "kit" bumper so if you can weld or have a buddy that can weld you can save yourself some money there. With Avid Off Road's bumper, I like the side flares and the underside of their bumper, mainly the mounting bolt protection, among other things.
Thank you I’ll look into. I say that a lot of people don’t like the Arb rear bumper do you have any insight as to why? Also that was a joke that guy was coming off as a hardo

There is nothing wrong with being prepared for more than we planned on and besides that, as we progress at any pass time, we thirst to go further and further.

I say that sentences like “I plan to run logging roads only” are famous last words.

A place to carry extra gas and getting the spare tire out from under the vehicle are both good reasons to bumper up. Today’s distracted driver is enough reason for a solid steel bumper alone.

Delta Vehicle Systems
4x4Labs
OME
Slee
Trail Tailor?
Don’t cheap out
Or you will be
Disappointed.
Exactly, this is my trail rig and I want armor for protection thank you for the info and you said OME are you talking about the ARB rear bumper? I’ve heard a lot of people don’t like it.

The cats meow for off road in my opinion is the 4x4Labs bumper.

Mike at Bump It Offroad in CO makes great stuff and will customize within reason, I am told. I have seen his bumpers in person and they are fantastic. I don't have a rear bumper yet, but I'll be getting one of his or a 4X4 Labs when I have the funds. From what I've seen and read, the 4X4 Labs powder coating is not on the level of Slee (for instance), so if I were spending my own money and I did go with 4X4 Labs, I would but it bare steel and have it PC'd locally. Just my two cents.
(I can say with authority that the Slee PC is fantastic, I have their front bumper.)

My thought process was that I needed and auxiliary tank (LRA 24gal.) In order to get the space for the gas tank I needed to move the spare tire from underneath, the logical choice was a rear bumper with tire carrier. 4x4labs bumper is what I choose. Great bumper even if you don’t rock crawl. But you do have to cut rear crossmember of the chassis. No biggie it sound worst than what is really is, and the result is a very strong bumper chassis setup. Order the kit if you can weld, it would save you some cash for :beer::beer::cool:

I second that! As much as I like the latch system on the delta bumper it’s just too bulky. Why go through so much cost and trouble and not gain ground clearance and boy do we need more clearance in the back. Basically any bumper that doesn’t cut the cross member won’t gain much clearance and really not worth the cost and effort IMHO.

If you need to carry more stuff then a proper roof rack is more versatile....at least for me.
