Hi, i'm new to the forum, live in australia. I have a 75fj40, and was wanting to put in a long-range fuel tank. under the passenger seat is taken by the dual batteries. i was hoping there might be some advice / pics on what other people have done.

thanks

One option is to reroute the exhaust and put the muffler somewhere other than under the rear floor, then put an auxiliary tank in that space. I think some of the American vendors (Man-A-Fre?) sells a tank for this location. The tank I am using on my '79 apparently is from a classic Bronco and fits like it was made for the space.

My set-up uses a fuel transfer pump to transfer the fuel into the main tank but a litttle more work could have it plumbed to switch tanks and fuel quantity senders at the flip of a switch.
