Advice in offloading a 100?

Hello all,

I'm a new owner of a 2000 100 that runs great but needs some work. I have come to realize that I just don't have the bandwidth in this life stage (4 kids, etc) to take on the few projects it needs. I need to offload this one and possibly invest in something that needs a little less work. Any advice? Thanks!

If you don’t have the bandwidth, but do have the cash to buy a better one, do you have an independent Land Cruiser specialist in the area, that could get your existing vehicle straightened out?

Good q: i don't have the cash on hand (I'd be taking on a payment if I invest in something newer). There is a good mechanic in the area who has pointed out the issues at hand.

and if it was purchased from a dealer — did they disclose the repairs needed? A local advertised sale where you can point out and discuss issues with a potential buyer might be the most ethical course of action.

depending on the issues and what profit margin you’re after you should have no trouble selling a 100 series… good luck!

Hard to determine without knowing what all is wrong with it.

are you talking $2k of work or $8k of work?

Ive said it before, theres nothing wrong with a cheap camry......

Edit: Sell it to the fine mudder below :)

If it was me
1)do you need the suv? Can you get away with a cheap Camry like @krice118 sell for what you can and drive a beater to save some cash for a bit.

2) You need the suv? fix the brakes period (buy once cry once), deal with exhaust later depending on what the problem is. 02 sensor? Cat converter dead? Or just the annoying exhaust tick.

Not sure the advice you are seeking. You post it for sale like you would any other vehicle, and disclose the issues. Then you let the process work. A 100 is a pretty common/generic vehicle. Pretty simple to sell.

What do you mean by brake Module? there is a guy Andy Le who is active on the UZJ100 LandCruiser forum who sells Rebuilt Master Cylinders for ~$700 which is MUCH cheaper than a new OEM one... many have had great experience with this route for Brake Master Cylinders

Where in VA are you? I work on these, buy and flip Cruisers, have cash on hand.
