Ok so love the site, cool folks here.

I know a lot of sites put ads in the pictures, for people who haven't signed up. But why inflict it on people who are members? It's really frustrating to have to keep clicking the X in every piece of Cruiser porn on the site. I just bought a Hundy and the ads are a buzzkill when I'm trying to see the skids and axles in the pics man!

Okay </rant>, resume your normally scheduled Toyota freak site.

Post more...ALL ads are tiered for member post levels...

Is that the case for the Optima battery video ads?

I just watched two of them for the five seconds I had to in order to close them.

But I don't get the banner ads unless I'm dumb and use another computer without logging on, then not only do I wonder why it doesn't remember I have read some topics, but also have to see those ads. Seeing the ads is my reminder to log in...

Morning Woody- In the last 2-3 days, I am now getting video popups(using Z-coordinates, not truly a popup) when I come to the site. I think one was a Dodge Ram ad? I never have gotten video ads before. Is this expected/desired behavior?

x2. At first I tought I wasn't logged and it was an annoying feature for the guest visitor, but looks like I was wrong. I do not mind ads on the site even with my silver star, but popup ads are really annoying!

If ads are AUTO-popping up, then I'll chase down the offending advertiser and correct it...they should require a user action (ie: click).

Not much will happen today...it IS a holiday :)

Screen shots help...I work with about 30 networks off and on, and SEEING what is causing the issue is a near requirement to chase down issues and get them resolved.

Definitely was done automatically, I know I didn't click anything.

And both were Optima battery ads, in the 60 series section. I'll get a screen shot for you if it happens again (been a couple days, without another one)

I chased down the Optima one, and have received a reply from the network...should be handled in the next day or so.

Now to figure out which network manages the Dodge one...believe I know, and will get with them in the morning.
