Is there any way to adjust the tension on the gas pedal so there less play in it?:wrench::steer:

Less tension??? dude there are some things you don't mess with...to me it is gas pedal and brakes!

Does the LC go when you push on the pedal? if so.....it works :p

Yes, it goes when I push the pedal. I am not used to the light touch of the pedal compared to my other cars. :steer:

Light touch? Um...we call that 400 ft/lbs torque! :D

What I mean by light is, the pedal is very easy to push on. Can you feel the windshield wipers through the gas pedal. If not, next time you have the windshield wipers on, feel for a gentle thump in the gas pedal when the wipers make a full sweep. Maybe I am just looking for something wrong but I also get weird vibration from the brake pedal when I lightly touch it. Is this normal or am I paranoid. When I drive my BMW I get none of these little sensations in either pedal. :steer:

You can actually feel your windshield wipers through the gas pedal???

Either something is wrong or you are by far the biggest princess and the pea!!!!!

Hey I take real offense when someone calls me a "pea". :princess: Seriously, go out to your LC turn it on, put your foot on the gas pedal and turn the wipers on. Than tell me if you can feel the thump your wipers make through the gas pedal. If you can't than I do need to take my truck in because that means there is a wiring problem. :wrench:

It was a joke :D

I tried it and no odd sensation to me. I dont understand the correlation because the pedel is just a spring and a TPS sensor...no cables lat all. The feel of the pedel should be the same in 4HI 4LO engine off or on...doesnt matter.

Good luck with the service!

Thanks for checking. I am going to call toyota tomorrow and see what they say. I didn't think it was normal. I know you were joking.

I wonder if it's the relay switch for the wipers and it's near the gas pedal. Does this make any sense as I am not a mechanic?

If you are implying that the relay may make enough vibration to cause you to feel it in the pedal, I don't see any way it could do that.

Have someone else drive it and see if they feel what you feel.

I called Toyota this morning and talked to someone familiar with the LC200. Anyways, I told him about my problem I stated above. He reassured me this is pretty normal because the wiper motor/wiring/fan motor are all located right behind the firewall near the gas pedal which is causing that light sensation of feel I get every time the wipers are on. If it gets worse or when I need my next service he will look at it just to be sure. My next service is about 2500 miles from now and will have it checked out just to be sure the wiper motor is not touching anything the gas pedal is connected to. "I bet it is".

I don't care how much I paid for a vehicle or what kind it is, but if I felt the wiper movement through the gas pedal, that vehicle is going in.....IMHO :frown:

I called them back about an hour ago just about saying the same thing you said. I have never owned a vehicle where I could feel the wipers through the gas pedal. Dammit, I am not driving a fiat. :D Anyways, they will look at it on Friday and I will report back.
