Adjusting / Racking Door

How do I adjust the door? It is hanging a bit low and the door latch is hitting the doorframe striker plate pretty hard (can see wear on metal). Unless I gorilla the door to get it over the striker plate, the door is only partially closing.

When the truck was repainted a few years ago I believe that the door was done with the hinges on it. Is there any way to make the adjustment without having to loosen the hinge on the side of the door?

The strikers are adjustable....

Pictures would really help. I have spent alot of time adjusting mine, po's messed things up a number of ways. Possible that your hinges are wore out.

The strikers are adjustable....

X2! Use up all the adjustment in the strikers especially if your paint is near & dear to you!

There is adjustment at the strikers, outside hinge bolts, and inside the tub on the inside hinge bolts. Good luck, it's exasperating as hell to get em right.
